Three original autograph letters (one in the third person) addressed to Mr. E.Walford, requesting him to visit to see her pictures intended for the Royal Academy, discussing Greek pronunciation and the holding of art classes, with mention of two of her pictures: Moorish Girl at the Cemetery, and Kabyle Peasant Sleeping, both now sold. 3 letters, 9 pp. in good condition. 8 Victoria Road & 4 Campden Hill Road, Kensington, 1882. Eliza Bridell Fox (1824-1903), painter, who began instruction in drawing with the purpose of educating women to the point that they would qualify for admittance to the Royal Academy schools.
