Sir Charles Augustus FitzRoy (1796-1858), colonial governor. Sir Charles was chosen as the tenth Governor of the colony of New South Wales by Lord Stanley in 1845. Robert Allwood (1803–1891) was an English-born cleric, and academic in colonial Sydney, who served as rector of St James’ Church, Sydney for 44 years.
