Autograph Letter Signed, to Mr. Smith, agreeing to work on his drawing, enquiring about “some more thing which you want sketched”. 2 pp. 5 x 4 inches, in good condition. Undated. F.W.Fairholt (1814-66) was an engraver and the author of antiquarian works. The first important work entirely illustrated by him was Jackson and Chatto’s Treatise on Wood Engraving (1839). He was also employed on the Art Journal.
