Autograph Letter Signed, to Captain De Havilland, engineer, about contributing to De Havilland’s Survey for a Map of the Deccan, its obvious utility, offering to support the survey among the authorities in Calcutta, adding that he has lately sent out people to “collect routes through the part of country to the S.E. & N.E. of this which is at present so little known”. 3 pp. 10 x 8 inches, folds, in good condition, some ink passages faded but legible.
