A collection of 16 original letters, all addressed to Messrs. Wilson of 159 New Bond Street, London, requesting materials, calico, patterns, dimity, such as “6 Birds Eye Diaper Tray Napkins, the size of Breakfast Napkins”, written by Lady Barker, Lady Middleton, Lady Ross, Lady Elphinstone, Mrs. Blane of Winkfield Park, the Dowager Lady Radstock and other ladies of title, one letter with a sample of material pinned to it. 16 letters, some dust soiling and stains, filing holes, generally good. 1824-1869, most 1830s to 1840s. “Mrs. Blane requests Mr. Wilson will send ten yards of the dimity like the pattern & One Piece of Shirting Calico for Boys Shirts. The parcel to be directed to Mrs. Blane, Winkfield Park, by the Windsor Coach to be left at the Coach office till called for. Winkfield Park, 11 December [1824].”
