Annotated by Tom Taylor. Lincoln, 7 April 1880. Thomas Cooper (1805-1892), Chartist poet. He became leader of the Leicester Chartists in 1841, and was imprisoned in Stafford Jail for two years for sedition. He published two novels, Alderman Ralph (1853) and The Family Feud (1854) and an autobiography (1872).
