Autograph Letter Signed, to W.E.Forster, agreeing to meet “if alive and well”. 1 page 7 x 4 inches, in good condition, a few minor blemishes only. 134 Blackfriars Road, 20 May 1846. Thomas Cooper (1805-1892), Chartist poet. He became leader of the Leicester Chartists in 1841, and was imprisoned in Stafford Jail for two years for sedition. He published two novels, Alderman Ralph (1853) and The Family Feud (1854) and an autobiography (1872).
