Autograph Letter Signed, to T.Wallis, saying he would have contributed to the Exhibition “with pleasure, if I had anything to send …” 2 pp. 6 x 4 inches, fine. Little Campden House, Kensington, 30 September 1874. George Vicat Cole (1833 –1893), was an English painter. Most of his subjects were found in the counties of Surrey and Sussex, and along the banks of the Thames. One of his largest pictures, The Pool of London, was bought by the Chantrey Fund Trustees in 1888, and is now in the Tate Gallery.
