Autograph Letter Signed, to John Waldie, explaining the various events surrounding the visit of the Queen and Prince Albert in July. 3 pp. 7 x 4 inches, in fine condition, remains of guard where formerly mounted. Cambridge, 27 June 1847 “You had better be with us before the bustle begins.” William Clark (1788-1869), anatomist. Clark served as Professor of Anatomy, University of Cambridge, from 1817 to 1866, during which time he was responsible for acquisition of an extensive museum of comparative anatomy and laid the foundations for the School of Biological Sciences at Cambridge University. He was elected Fellow of the Royal Society in 1836. Friend of Lord Byron.
