Orderly Room, Grenadier Guards, 9 August 1852. Studholme Brownrigg commanded a battalion of the Grenadier Guards in the Crimea. There is a famous photograph by Robert Fenton showing Brownrigg with two Russian youths, probably drummer boys, who were captured in battle. Studholme Brownrigg later reached the rank of general. He was present at the Battles of Alma and Inkerman, and at the Siege of Sebastopol.
