A lengthy Autograph Letter Signed, to James Morton, explaining why he can not send a model of his statue of Sir R.Hill for exhibition, sending a model his statue of Robert Raikes instead, discussing his equestrian bronze, “A Moment of Peril”. 4 pp. 7 x 4½ inches, in good condition, traces of mounting. 30 Osnaburgh Street, 18 March 1882. Sir Thomas Brock (1847-1922), sculptor, undertook a large number of important public commissions, including the Queen Victoria Memorial (1901–24, The Mall, London). Brock also designed the new coinage effigy of Queen Victoria in 1891.
