Karl Blind (1826-1907), German political agitator, refugee, and author of numerous political essays, biographies, articles on Germanic folklore, etc. “I intend writing a few words about it for a German journal, which, unfortunately, has at present its columns full with the strange ‘forms of life’ that have appeared in decaying France.”
