Autograph Letter Signed, to “My dear Hetty”, and subscribed “I am, dear Etty” [William Etty, painter], saying he intends to give the bearer T.H.Vankerman a letter of recommendation to the General Benevolent Institution and hopes Etty will do the same. 1 page 8 x 5 inches, in good condition, remains of guard. 7 June 1830. Sir William Beechey (1753-1839), painter. He was appointed portrait painter to Queen Charlotte, and became one of the most fashionable portrait painters in Georgian England.
