Autograph Letter Signed ‘W.Beechey’, to James Northcote in Argyle Street, asking him to “have the goodness to sign the Petition of Mrs. Ford.” 1 page 7 x 4½ inches, in good condition, with the integral address leaf (blank upper edge torn away). Harley Street, 19 June 1823. Sir William Beechey (1753-1839), painter. He was appointed portrait painter to Queen Charlotte, and became one of the most fashionable portrait painters in Georgian England. James Northcote (1746-1831), painter.
