A long Autograph Letter Signed ‘BB’ to Richard Almack, Long Melford, about poetry, Barton’s house and much else, together with Autograph Verses (6 quatrains) Signed ‘Bernard Barton’, on the theme of “heraldic art”, beginning: Dear Almack, Autograph of mine/ I readily will give thee;/ But as for ‘Arms’ – I must opine/ I’ve none that will outlive me.” 3 pp. letter 9 x 7 inches, fine, with the address panel; red wax seal. 1 page verses.
