Wootton, Norfolk, 3 September 1884. Uncommon. Joseph Arch (1826-1919), politician, champion of the Farmworkers, and Primitive Methodist preacher. Arch played a key role in what Karl Marx called the “Great awakening” of the agricultural workers in 1872.
